                                                                    RW#3
                                                                    Ethics

This course is definitely one of the most interesting courses I’ve taken so far, not only it had an impact on my blinded doubt towards people, it helped me have faith in people once more, by making me suppress the clouded vision towards an individual whether it was their belief, their look or their bloodline. Choices, Consequences these are two keywords that will most definitely stay with me till the end of time, I am really glad that the college gave us an opportunity to learn such topics, not to mention the ZHO experience, which exposed me to a whole new dimension of basic human principles, which is helping each other and interacting for the greater good. I really did enjoy visiting ZHO, infact I will be visiting again during my summer break. Finally this course certainly gave me knowledge or thoughts that will stay with me for a while. I hope HCT continues this course because a lot of the UAE youth needs such guidance towards ethical manners, it’s a good seed that will harvest the good in people and is definitely going to have a great impact on people, society and as well the region.

Reflective Writing 2

                                                                             Reflective writing 2

Volunteering in ZHO was a great experience for me because it taught me a lot, it taught me that no matter how tough it gets, no matter how bad it can get, we humans will always find a way. On the first day I met a disabled young man named Saeed Al Mansoori who is working in ZHO as a secretary and data entry personnel. He was a very interesting young man with great ambition for the days to come, he told me a lot about his work and how much he likes it, as well as his sports life, he had three trophies in Polo being 2nd place twice and 3rd. Miss Fatima gave us a brief orientation about the place on the first day and then we were separated into groups to interact individually with the young men. I was mostly in the electrical workshop observing and learning from the students in there, they had several ways of solving electric related problems in easier ways taught here in college! Their logic is fascinating as well as their personalities. At first some of them were shy to contact or approach me for a question or a chit chat but as days went by we became friends, the students and I.
