I am writing this delimma because I am out in a state where choosing or making a decision might result in a short term pain or a long term pain. My name is Omar Al Mansoori, friend, colleague and classmate of Mohammed Al suwaidi. An Aquaintance of Mohammed’s and a friend of mine wants to marry Mohammed’s sister, traditionally Mohammed has to go around and ask whether the person is suitable for his sister’s hand or not, however they do not know him as much as I do. He has drinking problems, and I don’t think hes capable of being a good husband yet. Mohammed came up to me and started asking me about this man. Right now I am put in this state and I don’t know what to say. If I had said that he is a good man, it would not feel right. If I had said that he isn’t, the wedding will definitely be called off. This level of kohlberg’s is 2 because it involves attitudes and good behavior, sadly the groom’s behavior isn’t pleasing at all.analyzing the two decisions whether I had put in a good word for him or not might result in a long or short term pain. I have decided to tell Mohammed the truth about this man and perhaps it is for the best knowing that it would cause short term pain on the long run and it would spare the bride’s marriage life, or I might be wrong, the groom may need the love of a good woman to change his behavior and attitude towards himself and her.
